Rainbow Cake

Lately ni suke sangat baking.. Tak tau nape, tapi bile tgk hasil yang menjadi, rasa happy giler and terus hilang rasa penat layan 2 hero kecik sepanjang hari. Mula-mula hubby request kek pisang tapi takle nak buat coz pisang tak berapa masak lagi, so buat la kek warna-warni ni. Nak buat pon senang je. I memang takkan buat kek yang cerewet coz tak sempat nak duduk kat dapur lama-lama.

So, here is the recipe yang I dah lupa copy dari mana. Dah lama ade dalam buku recipe I. So buat aje.

Bahan-bahan:

250 gram mentega
220 gram tepung kek * or guna self-raising flour, takyah pkai baking powder dah.
1 s/k baking powder * (bahan * diayak bersama)
200 gram gula castor
4 biji telur gred A
5 s/b fresh milk
1 s/k vanilla essence
pewarna merah, hijau dan kuning

Cara-cara:

Griskan loyang, panaskan oven 180 degrees
Pukul mentega + gula sehingga kembang dan putih
Perlahankan kelajuan mixer dan masukkan telur sebiji2 dan pukul sebati.
Masukkan tepung yang diayak sedikit2 dambil dikacau dan masukkan fresh milk + vanilla essence. Gaul rata.
Bahagikan adunan kepada 3 bhgian. Warnakan merah, hijau dan kuning.
Ambil 3 s/b adunan kuning dan tompokkan di bhgian tgh loyang. Kemudian ambik 3 s/b adunan merah dan tompokkan di atasnya. Akhir sekali 3 s/b warna hijau. Ulangi proses ini hingga habis.
Goyangkan adunan supaya rata. Bakar 180 degrees selama 1 jam or sampai kek masak.

Puding Marble Recipe

Puding marble plak, kek marble dh abes dah. This time buat 3 colors, red, chocolate and plain. Sedap dimakan bile sejuk. Buat pon senang je, only take few minutes to prepare. :-)

Bahan-bahan:-

- 1 agar-agar clear in a small packet 11g/12g

- 750ml air

- 1 cawan gula

- 1/2 tin susu cair

- 2 s/b butter

- 2 s/b tepung kastard

- 4 biji telur

- 1 s/k esen vanilla

Cara-cara:-

- Didihkan agar-agar, air dan gula sampai mendidih.

- Campurkan susu cair, butter, tepung kastard, telur n esen vanilla dlm bekas lain.

- Then masukkan semua bhn dlm agar2 yg mendidih td.

- Kacau sampai pekat sikit.

- Marblekan ikut favorite color. I just use the chocolate emulco.

- Dah keras sikit masukkan dlm peti. Mkn sejuk2 seeeeddaaappp!! :-)

Easy Soft Marble Cake Recipe

I tried another marble cake recipe that I found here. Sangat senang dan sangat lembut kek marble ni. Give it a try. Memang sedap dimakan begitu saja. Hehe. :-)

Bahan-bahan:

270 gram mentega
250 gram gula kastor
260 gram tepung gandum
1 s/k baking powder
6 biji telur
2 s/b susu pekat manis
1 s/b ovalette
1 s/b air
1 s/k esen vanilla
10 gram serbuk koko
1 s/k chocolate emulco (optional - bagus untuk mendapatkan warna yg lebih gelap)

Cara-cara:

Griskan loyang. Ketepikan.
Ayakkan tepung gandum bersama dengan baking powder. Ketepikan.
Satukan mentega, susu, esen vanilla, dan pukul sehingga gebu dan ringan atau mentega bertukar menjadi warna putih (apabila terbalikkan bekas adunan tak jatuh). Ketepikan.
Dalam bekas lain, satukan telur, ovalette, air, gula, campuran tepung gandum dan baking powder tadi dan pukul sehingga kembang dan rata.
Masukkan adunan mentega (no. 3) ke dalam adunan no. 4. Kacau rata.
Keluarkan 1/4 adunan dan campurkan dengan serbuk koko dan chocolate emulco. Kacau hingga sebati.
Masukkan 3 sudu besar adunan plain ke dalam loyang dan 1 sudu besar adunan coklat.
Ulangi sehingga habis adunan.
Bakar pada suhu 180 degrees selama 45 - 50 minit atau sehingga masak. Ikut oven masing-masing. Mine was 60 minutes.
Setelah masak, padamkan api oven dan biarkan kek di dalamnya selama 5 minit.
Selepas itu, keluarkan dari oven dan biarkan betul2 sejuk dulu baru potong.

Sedap, lembut dan memang mudah nak buat. Happy trying!!

Butterfly Rainbow Cupcakes Recipe

Last Thursday, saja suka2 try buat this butterfly rainbow cupcakes. Tapi tak sempat nk deco dengan buttercream and buat jadi butterfly. Anak dah 2 org, so sempat buat cupcakes pon dah naseb baik. Haha.

Dah lama teringin nk baking, now baru sempat since hubby tak keje so boley la tolong tgk kan anak2 kejap kan.

Btw, nak buat cupcakes ni senang je. Yang I buat ni tak nampak rainbow sgt coz juz use 3 colors, green, yellow and red. And klau nak nmpak lagi cantik, sila pkai piping yer. I just use the spoon je taruk dlm cup tuh. Belasah je la as long as masuk dlm cup tuh. Hehe.

So here is the easy recipe, taken from here. Tengok tuan punyer recipe tu buat, sgt comel cupcake dia!! Nanti bley la nk buat for birthday party. :-)

Bahan-bahan:

1 1/2 cawan tepung gandum

2 s/k baking powder

Secubit garam

1/2 cawan butter - suhu bilik

3/4 cawan gula castor (kurangkan sikit klau tanak manis)

3 biji putih telur - suhu bilik

1 s/k esen vanilla

3/4 cawan susu segar - suhu bilik

* Panaskan oven pada suhu 170 degrees. Sediakan paper cup secukupnya dlm muffin tray

Cara-cara:

1. Ayakkan tepung gandum, baking powder dan garam. Ketepikan

2. Dalam bekas mixer, pukul butter dan gula sampai kembang dan gebu atau sehingga butter bertukar warna putih.

3. Masukkan putih telur dan pukul lagi sampai gebu dan ringan

4. Masukkan esen vanilla

5. Kemudian slowkan mixer yang paling perlahan sekali. Masukkan tepung berselang seli dengan susu segar. Atau boleh juga guna kaedah kaup balik guna spatula.

* tepung kena berselang seli dengan susu. Mulakan dengan masukkan tepung and diakhiri jugak dengan tepung. Maksudnya tepung ~ susu ~ tepung ~ susu ~ tepung

6. Kemudian bahagikan adunan sama banyak dlm 6 bekas berasingan. Letakkan pewarna dlm setiap bekas dan gaul rata.

7. Tompokkan setompok setompok warna berlainan warna dan berselang seli dalam paper cup. Buat sehingga adunan habis.

8. Bakar dalam oven selama 25 minit or sehingga kek masak.

L'Oreal Youth Code Review

I'm using this L'Oreal Youth Code for about a month plus now. I just want to give it a try since I read a lot of good reviews about it in some of the top bloggers' blog. I wonder if they are telling the truth or just write a very nice review since they were paid for it. Haha.

So, I got myself a bottle of this L'Oreal at Guardian for RM89.90. This L'Oreal Youth Code is actually pre-essence where we need to use it after the toner and before your essence and moisturizer. As my Clarins essence already finished, so I just use the toner, then this L'Oreal Youth Code then my moisturizer.

After a month of using it, all I can say is I love this pre-essence so much. I love the smell and it absorbs very fast into my skin. So, I didn't feel oily at all. And I can see my skin a bit brighter than before. I still have my uneven skin tone, but it is not as obvious as before, so I guess it evens out the skin tone. Wrinkles? I don't know about that. But my skin feels soft and smooth right after I'm using it. I really recommend for others to try this out.

p/s: Some reviews even said they can see the difference right after the first use. So give it a try ladies~

My Son's Bedroom

Pejam celik pejam celik dah 2 tahun kiteorg berpindah kat rumah sendiri. Dari rumah yang kosong, sekarang Alhamdulillah hampir penuh dah umah. Masa awal-awal pindah, yang ada just meja makan, queen bed set, one wardrobe, three chest drawers and one tv. No sofa, no built-in wardrobe, no kitchen cabinet and even no new curtains for the first few months.

Now, Alhamdulillah semua dah ada. Yang tinggal just bilik Arsyad yg still kosong, just penuh dgn toys. Eventho hubby dah lama ajak beli his bedroom set, but I still want to wait till Arsyad is big enuff so that he will be sleeping in his own room bila semua dh lengkap.

I still don't know how to decorate his room. I want it to be colourful and so fun to look at. I want him to love his own room. Everytime I went to Ikea, I always imagine myself decorating his room with all the colorful bedroom set. But all of that costs a lot. Have to buy one by one la jwbnye, baru tak rasa sgt kan duit mengalir. Hehe.

Teringin sgt nk bilik mcm ni. Masa kecik dulu tak dpt bilik best camni, now bley berangan buat kat anak plak kan.. :-)

Cute je kan Mammut nye furnitures ni..

Jom Breastfeed Our Baby

Jom ramai2 breastfeed baby kita. Banyak kebaikan dlm susu ibu tuk anak2 kita membesar dengan sihat dan kuat. Alhamdulillah, I managed to breastfeed Arsyad till 2 years and 2 months old. And I hope, I can do the same to my little Farrel. :-)

Maybelline B.B Cream Review

I bought Cleo mini magazine last friday and got free Maybelline B.B Cream sample. I just tried it yesterday, and all I can say is I didn't like it too much. It makes my skin look darker and oily. I still prefer using my Mary Kay foundation instead of this BB cream.

BB cream actually stands for "Blemish Balm". And it is one of the hottest trends in makeup and skin care right now. I'm sure most of you makeup frenzy girls must have been familiar with what BB cream is all about. But for those who doesn't know, the main function of BB cream is as moisturizer, primer, light foundation or like a tinted moisturizer for your skin. You apply it on your face after your skin care routine.

This Maybelline BB cream claims that it can help to create a flawless smooth skin and brighten your face. It also have skin care formula so when we used it for a continuous length of time it can result in a much more healthy and attractive skin.

I love it when I first saw the difference on my skin right after I'm using it. But, after few hours, my skin become darker and oily. I didn't apply any loose powder, just the BB cream itself after my skin care routine. It is good as it has sunblock protection, but it just didn't work for me. Maybe other BB cream works well, but for the time being I would not buy this one anymore. Maybe it works well for you. Just buy the Cleo mini magazine for RM5 to get the free sample. :-)

2 Months Old Farrel

Sungguh cepat masa berlalu. Tup tup Farrel dah pon 2 bulan. Alhamdulillah, I still fully breastfeeding him, but didn't manage to start cloth diapering him yet. InsyaAllah I'll give it a try starting tomorrow. Hopefully I can do it as Farrel didn't poo-poo too much like a newborn anymore.

So far, taking care of Farrel is easy. He didn't cry so much, in fact I just can hear him cry sometimes only once a day. And that is just because I didn't give him milk immediately once he asked for it. Usually he just make a sound if he is hungry. While at night sometimes he just asked for milk once, and sometimes he will just sleep till the next morning. He didn't ask for milk once in 2 hours time like Arsyad when he was a baby. Alhamdulillah, I can get enough sleep at night and have enough energy to entertain my 3 years old son on the next day.

Farrel can response when people talking to him now. He will easily giggle and smile everytime we talk to him. He loves to see everything spinning and moving above him, something with bright colors of coz. He can't fit in his newborn clothes anymore. His weight now is 5.3kg and height 59cm. 100gram heavier and also 3cm longer than Arsyad when he was 2 months old.

Junior Masterchef..

Since I have two kids, I always start my day as early as possible. Most of the time I'll wake up earlier than both of them, so that I can finish up my chores. Only then I can entertain them 100 percent. If not, I have to rush out to finish up my house chores then at the same time have to look after them, especially Arsyad coz he always want to disturb his little brother. Alhamdulillah Farrel will not cry out even his big brother always disturb him while he is sleeping. So it makes my life easier. It is just that I have to watch out, afraid if Arsyad did something that can hurt his lil brother.

As today I woke up a bit late, so I was a bit behind my routine. After Arsyad and Farrel had their shower, I have to do the laundry and then prepared breakfast for me and Arsyad. And breastfed Farrel in between. Then have to entertain Arsyad, playing with his toys, helping him finish up his puzzle and lots more. And today also I didn't manage to prepare lunch on time. I just had my lunch around 3 pm. A bit late and I was so damn hungry. Mind you, I am fully breastfeeding, so I need to eat a lot and on time. If not, I'll feel dizzy.

While preparing my lunch, Arsyad was voluntarily helping me out in the kitchen. Actually I am more grateful if he just ignored me and help himself playing and watching Barney. Haha. But what can I do. He insisted to help me by making the mess. He did help me by cutting the vegetables that I gave him. Then he put it all in the pan that full of oil, which I will use it to fry the chicken. I just let him do what he wants. He then get himself a spatula then started stirring the veges. I did give him an empty pan, but he didn't want to use it coz he knew I will not use it to cook my meal. Clever boy huh~

I didn't manage to snap any pictures while he did that, worried if he wants to go near the fire. I know he enjoyed himself helping me cooking in the kitchen but I can't let him do that everyday coz I can't stand looking at all the mess. Haha. He also love to bake. Everytime I started my mixer, he will stand on his stool and helping me by putting all the ingredients in the bowl then start the mixer. I think he likes to see the bowl spinning around. Haha.

You want to be a Junior Masterchef yer Arsyad? I will teach you how to cook once you know how to play with your little brother kay. Hehe.

Gemersik Kalbu Gantikan Tentang Dhia

I know most of you have watched Tentang Dhia series. So, what do you think about the ending? For me, it was just like other Malay stories, the ending part always too fast. It was like the producer has to put everything in one episode, then end up there was like hanging part. I guess everyone for sure wanna see how was Zikir's mom reaction after Dhia, Zikir, Nenek, Azmi, Melly and Raffi found out that she used the 'bomoh' thingy to separate both of them. And, one more thing, how come the hero and heroin die? So sad. It should be happy ending at least. Haha.

Whatever it is, there will be new series after this starting 2nd January 2012, which is next week. I can't wait to see this Gemersik Kalbu. This time around, Aqasha and Ayu Raudhah will be the hero and heroin. Let us see whether this series will be as good as Tentang Dhia and other series or not.

Arsyad's 3rd Birthday Celebration..

Alhamdulillah, Arsyad is 3 years old today. How time flies. I can still remember the day he was born, the day he made his first step and now he is already 3. I am so grateful, having a chance to see my baby grown up in front of me.

This year, we didn't make any birthday party for him, just managed to do a small celebration to my boy at his Wan Cu's house. At least, got some pictures to keep for his 3rd birthday. Sorry Arsyad, mama just finished my confinement, don't have time to do all those decorations. InsyaAllah, next year we'll do it together with Farrel's birthday kay.

5 Words Baby Use (Baby Language)

Very interesting and useful for us, mommies. Alhamdulillah Farrel doesn't cry so much. For the first moms, watch this video and learn your baby language. Your baby actually talks to you, he or she try to send you a message on what he/she wants. If we understand them, there will be no more sleepless night and stressful day for us. :-)

1 Month Old Farrel

So many things to blog, but too little time for me to just sit in front of my lappy. But I still want to make this entry so that Farrel's development will be in this journal just like his big brother, Arsyad.

Farrel is just like Arsyad when he was little. Don't cry so much, Alhamdulillah. He just make a sound when he wants his milk or when he wants his diaper to be changed. Otherwise, he will just sleep in his cot or just lay down quietly all by himself. Alhamdulillah I don't have any trouble with him at night. He will just wake up for his milk once in 2 or 3 hours time.

Eventhough his brother play or sing a song just beside him, he will just continue sleeping. He will not cry if his big brother disturb him while he is sleeping. I am so grateful coz I have to watch Arsyad all the time. Arsyad still jealous with his little brother as Farrel is always with me. So he will do anything to attract our attention. But, I try my best to entertain him everytime Farrel is sleeping.

Farrel's weight was 3.7kg at 20 days old. Now, I still didn't bring him to his paeds for injection, need to wait till he is 6 weeks old. I guess he is already 4kg plus, looking at his chubby-ness. Hehe.

Now, I'm on my own handling my two kids. I still need to get use to the routine. Alhamdulillah, so far so good. :-)

My 2nd Childbirth

6th November 2011 - 10 Zulhijjah 1432H, 947am

I still can remember what happen on that day. How it was started and how it ends. I can't believe I can go through all the pains and the joy that I felt right after that. Nothing can't describe how I felt and the only word I can say is Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah, syukur pada-MU ya ALLAH.

It all started on 5th Nov, around 9pm. As we're getting ready to go out to have our dinner, suddenly I felt something came out from my v*****. I just ignored it at first, coz I thought it was just a normal discharge. Then, when we arrived at the restaurant, I felt the same thing again, it was like *gush*. I went to the toilet and checked, it was just a clear water. Then I started to think, maybe it is the time. I called my sister and asked her about it, then she said it was PROM (premature rupture of membranes). She asked me to monitor it first, before decided to go to the hospital coz I didn't feel any contractions yet.

So, I ate my dinner then went home. But it kept on came out every 10 minutes. Around 12am, hubby and I decided to go to the hospital, afraid if my water keep on leaking and my baby won't get enough oxygen. At first, my hubby was cool as usual, but once he saw too much water came out, he started to panic. Not panic actually but worried. Hehe.

We arrived at the hospital around 2am, need to send Arsyad to my BIL's house first. Alhamdulillah, Arsyad was sleeping at that time. The oncall doctor came in to my room and checked on me, I was already 4cm dilated at that time. Alhamdulillah, I didn't feel anything. Then we just wait till the next morning to see the progress. Nothing was done that night, just do the CTG, checked my blood pressure and temperature.

Around 7am, my OB came in and checked my dilation, still 4cm. I was a bit worried as I've already started to feel the contraction around 5am that morning. Then, she started giving me medicine. After that, it was so damn fast. Around 8am I already 6cm dilated. Everytime I felt the contraction, it felt like I was going to the loo. I told the nurse and I asked her for the penthadine. But the nurse said she need to asked my OB first, and guess what?? The doctor was at the mosque, semayang raya. Ok good, doa tuk saya byk2 ye doc.. Hehe..

The nurse then pushed me to the labor ward. I told the nurse again that I felt like wanna push already. Then she checked on me, "Alamak dh 9cm. Tunggu ye puan, jap agi doctor sampai". Adooii~ sabo je la bley plak nk tunggu2. At that time she already gave me the penthadine, but no point. I can feel the pain till the end.

When the doctor came in, she asked me to push everytime I felt the contraction. I can feel the baby was moving. My hubby was holding my head and kept on telling me "sikit lagi sayang sikit lg. Dah nampak dh kepala". Dalam 5 kali push, my baby's head was still there. Then I saw the doctor brought out the forceps and I was like oh no!! She said, "saya bantu puan sikit yer". I just turn my face to my husband and he was hugging me and then I can feel the pain when the doctor put the forceps inside me. I still can remember I said "sakitnya", then my baby came out and pee. Hehe. Semua sakit hilang when I saw my baby. Then the penthadine started to work. I felt sleepy and fall asleep right after that. I just said to the nurse, I wanna full breastfeed my baby then I can't remember what happen.

I woke up about 1 hour after that, then I was brought to my room. My hubby was waiting for me, and he kissed me and said "thank you sayang". I felt so relieved and happy, everything went well. And my baby was born on hari yang sungguh mulia, Hari Raya Aidiladha. Alhamdulillah, dapat jgk I merasa normal delivery eventho forceps. It felt so different compared to c-sect. The recovery was faster and I felt better than before. Alhamdulillah, syukur.

When Arsyad was first time looking at his lil brother, Farrel at the hospital, he was so damn excited. He kept on climbing on my bed and gently touch his lil brother. And, he said baby pointed his finger to my tummy and then baby Farrel. Hehe.

He start kissing Farrel when we were at home. He will kiss again and again. And starting yesterday, he started to show his jealousy towards Farrel. He will climb on me everytime I want to breastfeed Farrel. And when his papa wanted to pass Farrel to me, he will immediately climb on the bed or sofa lying down next to me. Hehe.

Wait till Farrel grows a bit bigger kay Arsyad.. Then you can play with Farrel.. :-)

Perineal Massage to Help Avoid An Episiotomy

I'm already in my 37th weeks of pregnancy. I might give birth anytime soon. Hopefully I will give birth on my hubby's off day and my sisters will be around to look after Arsyad during my delivery. I don't know what to expect this time around, just pray for the best.

Btw, I did read about this perineal massage somewhere to avoid an episiotomy during delivery. Means no tear and no stitches. We have to do it on 34th weeks of pregnancy and above about 1 or 2 times a week. I don't know whether it works or not but research shows that it does work, with a condition we listen carefully to the midwife and doctor on when to push and when stop pushing.

Maybe you can give it a try and see whether it works on you or not. Here is the guide on how to do it. Good luck~

Breastfeeding Tips for Young Parents

After the euphoria of the birth and discharge from the hospital, coming home is not always easy. You feel overloaded and you find breastfeeding complicated and tiring. You have the impression of not being able to go out and being "locked" at home. Or maybe you also think you have too little milk and are uncertain if the baby is drinking the right amount of milk. But let's take a calm look at things. Relax during breastfeeding. Remain calm. Imagine how lucky you are to be able to breastfeed - even if it scares you a bit and how you wonder you will manage everything!!

If your baby is crying, his probably hungry. Therefore, you only have a choice, breastfeed him/her. But, you will also have to learn to tell the difference. After several weeks, the baby crying doesn't mean exclusively that he is hungry. It can also be that his diapers are wet, he is tired, or simply that he wants to be cuddled. You will learn when to do what by paying good attention.

Arsyad - 1 day old

Generally, a newborn needs to be breastfed every 2 - 4 hours. As time goes by the time between feeds will increase (since the milk the baby drinks changes and the baby also drinks more at each feed). Most babies develop an individual regular drinking pattern. Maybe your baby drinks more often or less often, or maybe more in the morning and less in the evenings. It will, like all people, have its own rhythm.

Also your body will adapt to the rhythm of your baby. Maybe you will experience how your breasts swell and the milk is coming when your baby is crying (and even a few minutes before the baby gets hungry). Sometimes you will be waiting impatiently for him to wake up, after his feeding time has passed for a bit, as your breasts are already ready for feeding. The most important thing if you are breastfeeding is that you are relaxed.

Breastfeeding is a magical experience, but it takes a bit of getting used to. You are a bit afraid and wondering how it works? Don't worry breastfeeding is something that can be learned.

Breastfeeding offers a lot of benefits:

- Human breast milk is the healthiest form of milk for human babies and has all everything that is important for the development of the body and brain of the baby.

- At any stage, even if your baby is premature, the nutrients in your breast milk re adapted to the need of the baby.

- Your milk contains antibodies that support the health of your baby and help to prevent diseases and allergies.

- The colostrum (the milk that is produced in the first days after the baby is born) helps the baby to eject the meconium.

- Breast milk is sterile, has always the right temperature, is always available and doesn't cost anything.

- Through breastfeeding the mother and baby experience deep bonding.

- In the first weeks after the delivery, breastfeeding helps the uterus to get back to its usual size. It can be accompanied by contractions and pain, but it helps the mother to recover faster from the delivery.

Arsyad - few days old

How to breastfeed?

It is thought that breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world, but sometimes it is not that easy. There is a rule of hygiene, before each breastfeeding you must wash your hands. Hold your baby in a position that won't leave your arms and back sore. Add support around you with plenty of cushions and pillows. Many women find the cradle position works well, although it really depends on what is most comfortable for you.

Get yourself and your baby in a relaxed position before you start feeding. Pay attention to how your breasts feel when your baby latches on. He should take in a big mouthful of breast, the areola. If latching on hurts, break the suction by inserting your little finger between your baby's gums and your nipple and try again. Once your baby latches on properly, he will be able to do the rest.

Arsyad - few days old

Remember to change the breasts, to achieve balance. With each breastfeeding, the milk quantity that you have is being determined, and it should be equal for both breasts. If you do not remember and have to crack your head trying to figure out, use a trick to remember with which breast you should start the feeding (put a safety pin on the strap of your bra on the breast with which you should start).

Some women adjust to breastfeeding easily, encountering no major hurdles. But many new mothers find it hard to learn. So, if you're feeling discouraged, remember that you're not the only one. If you feel like giving up (or just want professional advice), contact a lactation consultant.

Breastfeeding takes practice. Give yourself as much time as you need to get it down to a fine art. If you're having a bad feeling day, tell yourself that tomorrow will be better. And keep in mind that any problems you are having are likely to be temporary. By the time of your six week check, you'll probably be breastfeeding without giving it a second thought. If not, don't hesitate to ask support.

Thomas Matching Game

I was so amazed looking at Arsyad playing the Thomas matching game in the Iphone. I never teach him how to play it, but he discovers it by himself. And he actually can remember which one is, to match another one.

I can't wait to send him to pre-school next year and see his progress. He can actually perform solat properly now, just can't recite anything yet, but the movement is correct. I just have to start potty train him by end of this year. If not you can't go to the school yet Arsyad. I hope I can do it. Huh~

Autumnz Cloth Diaper

I just bought myself Autumnz cloth diaper at onebabyworld. I found it is a lot cheaper than other online stores. The material is not as same as China brand. At first, I doubt to buy it via online, so I went to the store last Saturday to look and feel the material by myself.

When I first touch it, I love it!! The material is way softer than the China brand, almost the same like the US one that I bought to Arsyad. And I bought it for RM32 per CD. Not as expensive as other imported ones, but the quality is almost the same. I still didn't use it so I can't review it just yet. Needs to pre-wash it few more times, so that it can absorbs very well. Owh~ I can't wait to see Arsyad wearing it. Hehe.

Getting Ready for My 2nd Breastfeeding Journey

It has been almost 8 to 9 months I stop breastfeeding Arsyad. Now, I am about to continue my breastfeeding journey for my second child. With the experience that I have, I hope that I can do better this time. And hopefully I don't have the mastitis and breast abscess problem anymore.

Alhamdulillah, since I was 6 months pregnant, my milk already came out a bit. And now colostrum already started to come out. I really hope that my milk supply will be enough for my lil one just like Arsyad.

So, these are the things that I prepared to make my breastfeeding journey a lot easier.

1. Medela Freestyle breast pump - I've been using this breast pump since Arsyad is 3 days old. And till now it is still in excellent condition. It is really worth it buying this pump. I love the size of the pump which I can just put it in my handbag, bring it anywhere I want and I can even do other job while I'm pumping.

2. Bottles - Lots of bottles for storage. I didn't buy any storage bags this time coz I found it is difficult for me to refreeze the milk then put it in the bottle. So, this time around I just use the bottles, easy for me to just warm it using the bottle and food warmer that I have.

3. Medela Purelan - I use it during my first and second week after delivery. It feels better when I applied this to my nipple, especially when it started to crack. Usually our nipple will be cracked and sometimes bleeding if the baby doesn't latch properly. This Medela Purelan really useful when that happens, and it is safe for the baby to latch on. No need for us to wipe it off first.

4. Disposable and cloth breast pad - I have to buy lots and lots of disposable breast pads. I have the cloth ones but just a few and it will not be enough, coz I'm using it a lot. I always use the pigeon brands, coz it is soft and it absorbs very well. Now, I have about 8 boxes which I bought RM36 for 2 boxes. Hope it will be enough at least for a month. Hehe.

5. Nursing pillow - The nursing pillow is very useful especially for c-sect moms. I'll be using this nursing pillow too so that my arm can rest while holding the baby to breastfeed. And it is easier for me to do the football hold if i'm using this nursing pillow. Remember to always change your baby's position to avoid mastitis.

6. Quickclean Micro-Steam Bag - I only use this micro-steam bags to sterilize my bottles (if only 2 or 3 bottles) and breast pump parts. It is very easy indeed, just put a bit water in it and then put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and you're done. And we can use it up to 20 times per bag. But, I will still use the Tommee Tippee's sterilizer if the bottles can't fit in the bag.

7. Quickclean Breastpump & Accessories Wipes - Easier for me to clean and wipe the breast pump accessories anywhere and anytime. No need for me to clean it with soap and water all the time. Good for traveling.

8. Snow Bear Home & Car Bottle Warmer - It is good to warm the milk and food. You can use it in the car too.

9. Tommee Tippee's sterilizer - To sterilize all the bottles.

Wow~ so many things that I have already. Alhamdulillah. I really hope this time around everything will goes well. And I can't wait to start my breastfeeding journey again. I really miss the moments. :-)

Arsyad With His Twins Cousins..

Bedroom Ideas

We are thinking to buy a new bed frame and either wardrobe or chest of drawers to be installed in our third room. I love to have everything in white, so that the bedroom will look more spacious. All my bedroom's furniture are dark in color; the wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed frame. So, I want something different.

I love this Ikea's bed frame and chest of drawers. I just want these two things in the bedroom coz of the limited space. And, there's nothing much to be put in the drawers either. So, no need to buy a wardrobe. But, I doubt that I can make sure the bed frame will always clean from the dust. :P Whatever it is, I need to present the budget to Mr Financial Advisor first coz he is the one who will buy all those things. Haha. Hopefully he'll approve it and I can decorate the bed with all the queen bed sheets and quilt covers that I have. I can't wait!! :-)

Forgive Is The Easiest Thing To Do..

Something that I got from fb and would like to share it with all of you..

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband.

When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

What do you think were the four words?

The husband just said "I Love You Darling"

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he have taken time to keep the bottle away, this will not have happened. No
point in attaching blame. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldn't forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing in the world to do? Treasure what you have. Don't multiply pain, anguish and suffering by holding on to forgiveness.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.

Take off all your envies, jealousies, unwillingness to forgive, selfishness, and fears and you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think...！

Cloth Diapering Newborn

I'm still thinking whether want to start cloth diapering my baby immediately or wait till he is few months old like Arsyad. I really want to do it immediately but hubby said just wait until our baby is 3 or 4 months old. I know he wants me to take a good rest during my confinement as I have to take care of Arsyad too. And, newborn will always poop, so need a lot of CD to rotate it. But, looking at the cuteness of CD and thinking of we can save a lot from spending our money to buy the disposable ones, I really want to start once my baby is out.

Hmm~ So, should I start it now or not? I have to buy few more CDs coz Arsyad is still wearing his. Maybe I should try for the first few weeks and see whether I can cope with it or not. What say you mommies??

My Happiest Moment

Over the years, I have had many happy moments. Celebrating Eidulfitri with family and friends, birthdays, my convocation, getting my first car, my first job, falling in love, being a wife to my lovely husband, my wedding, my honeymoon, and finding out I was pregnant with our first and second child. I'm sure there are other moments worth mentioning, but these are the milestones that stick out in my mind. There is one, however, that tops them all, hands down.

Up until I about to describe, the happiest moment in my life was finding out I was pregnant with my first and second child. Seeing the positive pregnancy test and being hit with the realization that we were really and truly going to have babies was such a mix of fear and elation, much like the high one might get from a roller coaster ride. We had planned it, we welcomed it with full of joy and tears.

Despite my bad morning sickness during my first 4 months of pregnancy, I would say I really enjoy each and every moment of it. We always looking forward for the monthly checkup to see our precious one in my tummy. How well and healthy he is growing up in my small tummy. And, how excited his big brother is when he was first time looking at the screen, and calling his lil brother, 'fish'. That was one of the funniest and spontaneous thing that came out from his mouth.

Looking at my tummy that growing bigger and bigger every month makes me happy and smile. I just can't describe the feeling of thinking that there is a small creature living in my tummy. Everytime watching my lil baby during the scan, I know he is happy in my tummy, he is actively moving around and sometimes a bit shy to show his face. It makes me cry when I first saw my lil baby's face during the checkup.

Now I can't wait to see my lil baby to come out, and watch my two kids playing together happily. And I'm going to miss the feeling of my baby moving and kicking in my tummy. Sometimes it does feel a little bit uncomfortable, but this is the only moment that I always want to record and memorize for the rest of my life. Not everyone has a chance to experience this beautiful moment in their life, I'm glad I'm one of those lucky women who got a chance to go through this. :-)

Looking back at this picture makes me smile all the time. This is definitely one of the happiest moment in my life. I don't have a chance to take my maternity portrait during my first pregnancy. This time around I won't miss this very wonderful moment that I'll treasure for the rest of my life.

Remember to always capture your sweet memories with happiness and make those moments last forever. Happy photography you guys~

Me in 35 Weeks of Pregnancy

Wow~ I'm in 35 weeks already.. I've started to feel that my baby is in lower position already.. Everyday I feel like he is pushing his head down, getting himself ready to see mama, papa and his big brother, Arsyad.. Hehe.. Mama can't wait to see u too baby..

I didn't gain weight so much like my first pregnancy.. Maybe coz I've to look after my active toddler all the time, so I burnt a lot of calories.. Hehe.. My baby also quite small, but still in normal range.. Harap2 baby sihat je dlm perut mama ni.. :-)

Btw, hubby suddenly wanted to take photos of me during my pregnancy.. We just do it at home and just using his iPhone.. haha.. So, this is one of my favorites.. Others still in his handphone.. I want to do it again after this.. Hopefully Arsyad will behave and will be in the photo too.. Hehe

My tummy is so small in this picture.. Maybe bcoz of the cardigan that I wore.. Actually it is bigger than that.. :D

My Big Boy..

My big boy is so demanding nowadays. Always want us to do what he wanted us to do. If he says he want that, then he'll make sure he'll get it. Usually papa is the one who always can't stand hearing him crying out loud, and just give him what he wants. So his trick will always be successful if papa is around, but not if just with me. Coz mama will just ignore his tantrum and told him once that he can't have that or can't do that. If he wants to cry or just lying on the floor (usually he will just do it at home), I'll just let him do that. And I'll hug him back after he stops crying. But, it really test my patience.

Lately, he just behave when we go out. He wants to sit back in his car seat and also stroller. Hubby and I was so relieved coz we don't have to carry him around anymore if he didn't want to walk by himself. Hopefully he will be like this forever. He also sleep on his own now, few months already actually. We put his bed just beside our bed, and everytime he wants to take a nap or want to go to sleep at night, he knows he has to sleep on his own bed. No need for us to ask him to do so. Once we switch off the lights, he'll immediately go on his bed and try to sleep on his own.

The only thing that I wanted to do now is to potty train him. But I don't have a gut to try it yet. I just let him wear his cloth diaper during the day and he'll let me know once he feel uncomfortable. But he didn't want to tell me if he wants to poo-poo. Hmm~ maybe I should wait a little bit longer coz I can't do it alone right now. Hopefully he will be ready coz we want to send him to play school next year.

I really hope he will love his brother and be nice to him. Hopefully he'll not be jealous towards his brother. And mama will try my best sayang to give my full attention to you too. I know it will be challenging coz he is so attach to me, and when he saw his lil bro always be by my side he'll feel strange. Hopefully everything will be fine. Ameen... :-)

My 32 Weeks Pregnancy

We went to my 32 weeks checkup yesterday and Alhamdulillah everything was okay and normal. My weight slightly increased 2kg from last 2 weeks and baby also gain more weight, but still small only 1.5kg. At first, I was a bit worried thinking about my baby's weight, but I think maybe the baby is genetically small, what can I do right? As long as he is healthy and everything is normal, it is fine with me. Mama always pray for your health baby.

So, here is my lil hero's face. I think he is just like Arsyad and his papa. Hehe.

Puding Marble

Feel like eating pudding, so I just made one. Very easy recipe from my sis. You should try too if you're running out of idea on what to prepare for dessert. Hehe. :-)

Bahan-bahan:-

- 1 agar-agar clear in a small packet 11g/12g

- 750ml air

- 1 cawan gula

- 1/2 tin susu cair

- 2 s/b butter

- 2 s/b tepung kastard

- 4 biji telur

- 1 s/k esen vanilla

Cara-cara:-

- Didihkan agar-agar, air dan gula sampai mendidih.

- Campurkan susu cair, butter, tepung kastard, telur n esen vanilla dlm bekas lain.

- Then masukkan semua bhn dlm agar2 yg mendidih td.

- Kacau sampai pekat sikit.

- Marblekan ikut favorite color. I just use the chocolate emulco.

- Dah keras sikit masukkan dlm peti. Mkn sejuk2 seeeeddaaappp!! :-)

Something interesting that I got from fb by Prof Dr Rozieta Shaary..

Ramai ibu bapa yang bertanya saya bagaimana hendak menangani anak yang suka memukul dan merebut mainan kawan-kawannya. Mereka menyuarakan kesalan di hati mereka akan perlakuan anak mereka itu. Malah ada yang mengambil jalan tidak mahu membawa anak mereka itu pergi ikut berziarah, kuatir dia membuat laku.

Telah lama saya mengkaji perihal ini dan ini adalah apa yang saya dapati:-

- ibu dan bapa kepada anak-anak ini tidak mengambil masa untuk menerangkan dengan jelas dan berkali-kali akan salahnya perbuatan itu. Contohnya, apa yang saya perhatikan, bila anak-anak ini merebut permainan kawan atau memukul kawan-kawannya, ibu atau bapa anak ini hanya sekadar melarang sambil lewa. Mereka hanya mengatakan ' Janganlah buat macam tu, tak baik...' dan kemudian membiarkan anak mereka terus bermain. Dan bila anak itu mengulang perlakuan itu, mereka melarang sambil lewa lagi. Mereka tidak mengambil anak itu ke tempat lain dan memberi fokus kepada anak itu dan menerangkan akan betapa salahnya perbuatan itu. Teguran yang mereka lakukan tidak bersungguh-sungguh. Malah ada juga keadaan di mana ibu atau bapa mengalah dengan 'tantrum' yang ditunjukkan oleh anak itu. Tidak mahu anak menangis, mereka memujuk balik anak itu. Ini menyebabkan anak itu menjadi semakin tidak jelas dengan apakah yang hendak diperbetulkan.

- Ibu dan bapa yang begitu garang dan memarahi anak yang berkelakuan seperti tadi dan melarang dengan begitu kasar dan menghukum dengan begitu berat. Anak itu pula dimarah dikhalayak ramai dan dikatakan degil. Barang mainan yang diambil olehnya daripada kawannya tadi dirampas kembali dengan kasar. Ibu atau bapa itu pula menunjukkan bencinya mereka kepada anak itu disebabkan kelakuannya. Kemudian memberi kembali barang mainan itu kepada kawan anak tadi dan memuji serta mengusap kawan anak itu di depan anak mereka. Kesannya kepada anak mereka ialah anak itu merasakan dia dibenci dan dia sememangnya jahat. Maka bila itu ada imej dirinya, maka itulah yang dia terus menerus lakukan.

- ketiga, ada juga ibu bapa yang memukul tangan anak yang masih sangat kecil apa bila anak kecil di bawah dua tahun itu mengambil mainan atau barang yang bukan miliknya. Usaha ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendisiplinkan anak itu. Namun, apa yang mereka tidak sedak usaha itu sebenarnya mengajar anak itu memukul dan berkasar. Kita mesti ingat ' tenaga adalah abadi dan tidak boleh dihapuskan - ia hanya boleh berubah bentuk!' kemana agaknya tenaga marah itu pergi jika tidak kepada anak yang kononnya hendak didisiplin itu. Maka ia berubah bentuk dan menjadi peribadi anak itu!

Maka apakah yang hendak dibuat: -

Pertama, bila ini berlaku, anda sebagai ibu atau bapa minta maaf kepada ibu atau bapa kawan anak anda. Anda perlu faham, bila anak anda menyakitkan anak orang lain, ibu atau bapa anak itu juga terasa sakit. Namun, disebabkan mereka hormat kepada anda mereka tidak menyuarakan perekara itu. Oleh itu sebagai orang yang berhemah, tunjukkan hormat anda dengan acknowledge perkara itu dengan meminta maaf akan perkara itu. Kemudian, ambil anak anda dan dengan penuh kasih sayang dan tegas, anda terangkan perbuatan itu adalah salah. Ambil dia daripada tempat itu. Jangan bercakap kepada anak itu, atau berleter kepadanya, namun membiarkan dia meneruskan apa yang sedang dia buat. There must be a' cut-away' from the place.

Kata kunci di sini ada tiga iaitu minta-maaf, kedua cut-away dan yang paling penting beri penjelasan kepadanya dengan penuh kasihsayang dan tegas. Jika ada insiden dimana dia pernah dirampas mainannya dan dia menangis, kaitkan peristiwa itu. Contohnya, 'Sayang ingat tak masa kena rampasa mainan hari tu, rasa sedih tak? Macam tu juga kawan sayang rasa bila mainannya dirampas...' kemudian kondisikan dirinya seorang anak yang baik. Budak baik buat perlakuan yang baik. Merampas toys bukan perbuatan yang baik. Kemudian nyatakan betapa anda sayang akan dia dan anda tahu dia tersilap. Setelah dia faham, ajak dia minta maaf dengan kawan dia dan ibu bapa kawan dia.

Sebagai ibu bapa kepada anak seperti ini anda mesti sedar bahawa ibu bapa anak yang menjadi mangsa anak anda itu akan berasa dihormati perasaan mereka bila mereka nampak betapa anda berusaha untuk membetulkan salah laku anak anda.

Satu lagi perkara yang perlu diambil perhatian juga, jika anak anda merosakkan mainan kawannya, berusahalah mengajar dia meminta maaf dengan baik. Jangan pula mengherdik anak anda di situ, lakukan seperti yang saya katakan tadi. Selain itu, jangan membiarkan mainan itu rosak begitu sahaja dan balik selepas habis berziarah. Ambil initiatif untuk mengganti mainan itu atas dasar hormat kepada kawan anda. Dan apa yang lebih baik, involve anak anda dengan baik, contohnya jika dia ada menabung duit, untuk dia mengambil sedikit wang dia untuk membeli ganti kepada mainan yang dirosakkannya itu. Di sini anda boleh mengajar banyak perkara;-

1) Bahawa dia seorang yang bertanggung-jawab

2) Bila melakukan kesilapan dia akan berusaha membetulkan kesilapan itu

3) Membetulkan kesilapan adalah kelakuan yang terpuji

4) Dia menghormati harta orang lain

5) Oleh itu dia belajar menghormati dirinya

6) Dia faham, setiap perbuatan ada natijahnya. Maka untuk mendapat natijah yang baik, di membuat pilihan yang baik. Mak perlahan-lahan dia belajar bergaul dengan baik dan sihat dengan anak-anak yang lain.

Satu perkara yang hendak saya ingatkan ialah usaha ini mesti dilakukan berterusan dari anak itu masih di bawah 2 tahun sehinggalah perlakuan itu tidak wujud lagi. Lagi satu perkara yang ingin saya sebutkan di sini, bagi anak yang dibawah 1 tahun, perkara seperti ini tidak berlaku, namun, anda boleh menggunakan masa ini untuk mengajar mereka kelakuan yang baik melalui cerita-cerita yang di baca atau direka, nasyid dan lagu dan kata-kata yang membina karekter yang baik di dalam diri mereka.

InsyaAllah nanti kita akan membincangkan pula bagaimana pula jika anak anda sering menjadi mangsa barang dirampas atau dipukul oleh kawan-kawannya.

Keibubapaan bukanlah suatu yang mudah namun ia amat memuaskan jiwa bila melihat anak telah membesar menjadi anak-anak yang membanggakan.

- Tops : preferably button in front, easy for breastfeeding

- Skirt or kain batik

- Towel

- Disposable panties

- Nursing bra

- Breast pad

- Slipper and socks

- Maternity pad

- Toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, facial cleanser, moisturizer (just bring the traveling size pack)

- Snacks and milo 3 in 1 - nanti lapar je manjang.. hehe

- Breast pump and bottles

- Handphone charger

- Camera

Baby:-

- 1 or 2 rompers

- 1 or 2 sleepsuits

- Mittens and booties

- Receiving or swaddling blanket

- Diapers

- Baby wipes

- Baby balm, baby lotion, minyak telon

I think that's all. Have to start put it all in the bag right away. :-)

Getting Ready For Our 2nd Baby..

I didn't prepare so much for our 2nd baby arrival. Only buy few new rompers, towels, toiletries and small things only. Arsyad's newborn clothes still looks like new so I just use his. Alhamdulillah finally we managed to clear 2 of our drawers to put baby's clothes and 1 of them full already. Hehe. I still have to wash few more things and need to buy my items plak. Almost forgot about the breast pump and bottles, need to sterilize them first. Hopefully it can be done on time. :-)

Just a reminder to myself, don't forget to clean up the maxi cosi carrier mama. Need to use that, once baby is out!! And prepare the hospital bag!! :D

Apam Rose

Made this apam rose last 2 days. I used to bake it in the oven, but this time around I tried to steam it. Luckily, it turns out well. Hehe. So, here is the easy peasy recipe:-

Ingredients:

- 4 eggs

- 1 1/4 cup sugar

- 1 teaspoon rose essence

- 1 3/4 flour (or self raising flour)

- red color

Method:

- Whisk the egg and sugar using the mixer smpai kembang. Klau pkai tgn, pukul sekuat hati. Haha

- Add in the rose essence

- Then, put in the flour and mix well

- Divide it into two colors

- Apply some oil dekat loyang tu kay and marble la adunan tu.

- Steam it for about half an hour. Make sure tutup penutup ngan kain yg bersih.

This year, our family theme color is green. Both Arsyad and papa's baju melayu were ready made and we're very lucky, able to find the exact color and material. We bought Arsyad's baju melayu first at Jln TAR a week before Ramadhan, then we bought papa's baju melayu at PKNS, Shah Alam two weeks later. I was the one who is very happy coz both of them will wear the same color just like previous years. :-)

Btw, we didn't manage to capture lots of pictures coz we didn't bring our camera back. We just use the iPhone instead to capture all the moments together with our families.

My Babies..

Since I'm in a good mood today, I think I should blog about my babies. Not really in a very good mood, but its okay then, besides the "little parasite fella" that is still in our house. I'll story about that later, once I know it is captured.

I've had my pregnancy checkup last 2 days, and Alhamdulillah everything turns out well. The only thing that bothers me was my baby's weight. Since I came back from my hometown, I don't eat that much and I felt restless. The doctor said it is still normal but for 30 weeks pregnancy, 1.2kg is consider quite small. Hopefully I can eat more after this and gain more weight just like my 1st pregnancy. Anyway, I can't see my baby's face during the checkup coz my baby was like tengah sujud at that time. Bagus tol anak mama ni, dlm perut lagi dh start solat.. hahaha

Arsyad as usual, just ignore what the doctor did during the scan. He was so busy playing with the blocks. But at least he knew that there is a baby inside mama's tummy. Sometimes he'll kiss my tummy, sometimes he'll put some toys on my tummy and sometimes he'll poke my tummy too, depends on his mood. I was so nervous and a bit worried thinking on how he will react once he saw his little brother. Hopefully he'll be very excited and love his little brother so much.

He is very demanding right now, always want us to pay full attention to him. Both of us tried our best not to scold at him, try to entertain him as long as we can. But of course at the end of the day, I'm the one who will feel very exhausted.

Okay, enuff for today. Here are Arsyad's latest picture. His cheeky and handsome face that always make mama smile. Hehe..

Ramadhan is coming, just 4 more days.. Am I prepared? It has been a long time I didn't khatam Al-quran, always half-way through.. And since I've a baby I can't go to the mosque to Solat Tarawikh, but I'll try my best to do it at home.. It tough tho, with my lil toddler who always want something.. Ask me to get this, ask me to do this and that.. So, I want to change to be better this time, before our second baby arrival.. :-)

I hope Allah will give me strength and good health to fast and be a good Muslimah at the same time.. Before I forgot, selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa to all my friends and family, semoga puasa kali ini memberi seribu keberkatan dan rahmat kepada kita.. Ameen~

I Want A New Bedsheet Please!!!

Want, not even a need. So, it is not necessary right? But, I think I do need a new bed sheet.. Haha.. Coz I'm quite bored with my bedroom lately.. I can't change the furniture (no need for that), and I can't move them to different places coz my wardrobe is a built-in one, and I even lazy to do that.. Haha.. So the easiest way to update my bedroom is to change the way my bed looks.. Do you agree with me ladies? :D

I have lots and lots of queen size bed sheet, but only a few king size one.. or to be specific only 2 king size bed sheets and 1 king size quilt cover.. It is so damn expensive to buy king size bed sheet, that is why I only have two, just enough for me to rotate if I wash one of them..

My favorite brand of bed sheet would be Aussino.. I love their materials and it is quite pricey too.. That's why I'll always buy when they have sale.. Not only 10% discount, but I'll buy during 50% discount.. Haha.. I will not waste my money RM400 just for one bed sheet.. I will wait for a greater bargain for me to get what I want..

So, to ease my eyes, these are some bed sheets that I love to see on my bed soon.. Haha.. Hope so.. :D

Method:-
1.Cream.together.the.butter,sugar,brown.sugar,eggs.and.vanilla.essence.
2.In.a.separate.bowl,mix.flour.blended.oatmeal,baking.powder,
baking.soda.and.salt
3.Mix.both.mixture.together.and.add.in.the.chocolate.chips
4.Scoop.out.ball.sized.mounds.and.place.on.a.baking.sheet
5.Bake.at.190degrees.for.about.8.to.10.minutes

A Little Update & Great News..

I was so not in the mood to update my blog. I can't even stand long enough in front of my lappy to post a new entry. The nausea, headache and my hyperactive little hero makes me impossible to think on what to post eventho I have a lot of things to story about.

So, one by one. First of all, I'm not feeling very well lately coz of my morning sickness or should I say all day long sickness. Haha. Yup~ I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Alhamdulillah. Arsyad will soon get a baby brother or sister. We did a scan last week and Alhamdulillah everything looks good. And Arsyad even look at the screen and call his tiny little brother or sister , "fish". Till now, when he looks at my tummy, he'll say "fish". Haha.

This time around, I can hardly eat. Sometimes I don't even know what I want to eat, most of the time actually. But, Alhamdulillah everything goes in my mouth, didn't come out like my 1st pregnancy. My skin is not as glowing as before. I can't even look at my own face in the mirror nowadays. Need to be more patience and hoping that this feeling will go away.

My little prince, Arsyad become more clingy and sensitive. He will do everything to attract my attention. He didn't like babies nowadays. He'll cry and shout everytime I hold a baby. And he wants me to hold him all the time everytime we went to the mall. I can't even walk on my own, but I've to carry a 2 year old toddler with me. Can u imagine that?? I've to be more patience. I know he knew that he'll be no longer my little baby anymore. But you will always be Arsyad. I hope you know that. Mama always love you.

Okay, enough for now. Hopefully my appetite will be better and I can update my blog more often. Please pray for my health yeah~ :-)

Ayers Rock Butcher and Grill

We went to this restaurant at Kota Damansara last 2 weeks I guess.. I don't know what to eat that night, so I just agreed whatever my hubby suggested.. We've tried their food at Bukit Jelutong and it was not that bad and not that yummy either..

This time around, I've tried their premium ribeye, and hubby tried the burger.. It was so damn yummy!!! And I can finish the whole plate.. Mine was RM40 and hubby's was RM18 I think.. And there is no tax and service charges..

The steak doesn't has any specific gravy, but it is just nice like that.. I really2 love it!! If you like steaks and burgers, you should try this.. :-)

My New Mary Kay Makeup Set

I just received my new makeup set from my friend. I really need a new makeup to cover my really bad skin lately. I've tried the makeup before and it looks good on me, at least to my eyes and hubby's of course. Hehe. So, here it is my new makeup from Mary Kay.

I love it. The foundation is not too thick and I can just apply a thin layer on my face. I love the color of the lip gloss and blusher. And I don't know when I'll use the eye shadow coz I don't know how. Haha. The price is way cheaper than Bobby Brown, M.A.C, Chanel, CD and any other makeup.

Easy Peasy Apam Rose Recipe

I managed to do this apam rose a few weeks back I think. This was my first attempt and I made it in the middle of the night coz I can't sleep. And, I just in a mood to be in my kitchen. Hehe.

I got this recipe from K.Ummi, but she named it as apam mekar. I changed it coz I use rose essence. Haha. Suka hati jek. And mine was not like hers at all coz I just use the medium heat so the apam didn't "tersengih" like hers. But the taste was yummy and looks cute too. :D Actually there is other apam rose recipe, but I didn't try it yet. Will post it here if I ter-rajin buat la kay. Hehe.

So, here is the easy peasy recipe copy and paste from K.Ummi:-

Ingredients:- (You can get 25 pieces of apam)

250 gm sugar (I used castor sugar)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (I used rose essence)
200ml fresh milk (I used full cream milk)
300 gm flour (I used self-raising flour)
1 teaspoon ovallette
Red and green color (I used red only)
Acuan kertas secukupnya

Method:-

Heat your steamer (I used rice cooker)

Beat the sugar and eggs till fluffy
Add on the vanilla essence and continue beating
Add on the flour, fresh milk and ovallette. Continue beating
Divide it into 3 bowls or according how many colors you want
Put it bit by bit in the paper cup

Put the paper cup in the steamer for about 15 minutes

Done!

Easy right? Go and try it yourself. :-)

Weaning & The End of My Breastfeeding Journey

It is almost 2 weeks now, I stop breastfeeding Arsyad. Alhamdulillah, I never thought that it will be this easy. I did try few times before this but he refused to stop and I can't be patience enough hearing him shouting, crying and kicking especially in the middle of the night. But this time around, Alhamdulillah Allah makes it easier for me and him.

So, how I did it? I put a lot of nescafe to my breast. I mix it with water a bit so that it will be sticky and when I applied it on my breast, it looked very ugly and scary. Haha. Thanks to yana for the tip. :D I just showed to him once, then he immediately didn't want my milk anymore. He was so shocked and ran away. Hehe. Yup, he will ask for it once in a while, but he will understand when I said "mama sakit". And Alhamdulillah he didn't wake up at night and didn't ask for his milk anymore. He just cried a bit sometimes then will fall asleep after that. He even can sleep on his own now, no need mama or papa besides him. :-)

The only problem that I have so far is to make him drink formula milk. He did drink his full cream milk, but refused to drink his formula milk. But these few days, he started to drink his formula milk eventho he didn't finish even a bottle. Hopefully, he will get use to it coz I don't want him to stop drinking milk. Doesn't matter formula milk or fresh milk. As long as he still wants it.

So that's it. Alhamdulillah, I managed to breastfeed him till he is 2 years and 2 months old. I'm glad that I managed to go through all the challenges and hopefully I can do the same with my other children. InsyaAllah. :-)

Ban On BPA Milk Bottles

Finally, government had decided to ban BPA milk bottles from March next year due to BPA's risk to infant hormone systems. I think most of us mommies already know about this, and most of us already use the non-BPA bottles. But, for those who still don't have any clues what it is all about, you should read more about this.

What is BPA? BPA is an abbreviation for Bisphenol-A (BPA). BPA is an 'ingredient' used in the chemical compound that lines the inside of food containers such as canned goods and cartons for liquids like milk and juice. It also is the major building block in Polycarbonate plastic. Plastics with number 7 on the bottom of the container.

How does it get into us? The bonds in BPA are prone to leaching (falls apart from its parent compound) into the foods contained within the can/carton or plastic container. This takes place over time and can be accelerated with heat.

How does it affect us? BPA acts as an environmental estrogen and once it is ingested it can disrupt proper hormone functioning, alter genes and interferes with normal physical and behavioral development. Our children come first!! The effects of BPA will be more pronounced in children because they are growing and developing at such a rapid pace. We as adults have mature brains (most of us anyway) and bodies. Therefore the interaction of BPA and our hormones/genes are dulled in comparison.

Matta Fair 2011 Review

We went to the Matta Fair this evening, just want to see whether is there any good deal for us. We don't have any idea where to have our vacation. Most probably within Malaysia only, but we did survey a few packages for traveling abroad. As we went there around 5pm, so as expected there were full of crowds already. We had to park our car at The Mall and walk across the street to go to the fair. And, the fee is RM3 per person for adult and children below 12 are free of charge.

There were so many packages and great deal. We even didn't manage to go to all booths. But, the one that I interested the most is traveling to Hong Kong by Reliance coz the package includes ticket to Disneyland and also we can have 1 night stay in Disneyland Hotel itself. And for 5days/4nights traveling, it costs us around RM28++ per person for adult and RM25++ for children. That inclusive of airplane ticket with Malaysia Airlines, breakfast and lunch for certain days and a trip to Shenzen, China. Is it cheap? Arsyad will be the happiest person if we can go to Disneyland. Hehe.

And for local one, I love to go to Langkawi and the great deal so far was RM380 for 3days/2nights stay at Aseania Resorts, Langkawi and one rental car. This is for the accommodation only. Is it a great deal? Coz others were all RM4++ for this hotel. We didn't pay any deposit yet, just want to see the price first.

Btw, there are other exhibitions as well besides this MATTA FAIR. The one that I realized was cameras, so for those who are looking a new DSLR or new lense, you might consider to go there. I don't know about the price coz we didn't manage to go inside the hall. There also women's section, slimming centre, skin care and few more.

I don't know whether it is worth it for you to go or not. But for those who are really looking forward to have a vacation with your family, you might consider to go and grab a great deal. :-)

Getting Toddlers To Behave

Parents have found that toddlers often have a mind of their own as they accumulate new experiences. They are naturally curious, with a passion for enquiring, hence earning themselves the tittle, 'the why' generation.

When you ask your toddler to do something, he or she may actually do it, thus surprising you! At this age, many children begin to learn to control their urges, hence changing their behaviour accordingly. So they might do what mom or dad requests. Not all the time, of course. This ability is termed self-regulation and it marks one of life's most important milestones in a child's development.

There are ways to encourage good behaviour in children of any age plus a few extra tips that can help bring out the best in your toddler. Here are the tips:

Toddlers are naturally curious about their world. They learn by testing and experimenting with everything around them. Constantly telling them 'no' can dampen this natural curiousity. So, try some other ways to change their behaviour which you disapproved.

Allow exploring. Try to create situations where your child can explore life without long lists of 'don'ts' and 'nos'. For example, if it's not acceptable to blow bubles in milk during lunch, suggest that after lunch, he may have fun blowing bubbles in water outside the house. Put potentially harmful or breakable things out of reach so you don't have to instruct your child not to touch them.

Offer two choices. Most children like to have some control over their world. By offering them two choices (either of which you are happy with), you can guide them to the result you desire. So, if you think your child needs to do a wee, you could promp, 'Would you like to go on the potty or the toilet now?'

Change the environment. When your child wants to 'help' in the kitchen, make sure he's standing away from the hot oven. Give him a simple task like counting the number of eggs (if you're baking) or give him a wooden spoon for stirring the flour mixture.

Show him how you feel. If he pulls your hair playfully, put on a sad face and say 'ouch'. If he keeps doing it, avert your eyes and withdraw a little. Saying something like 'it hurts when you pull my hair' will help him learn to empathise with the feelings of others.

Withdraw your attention. Your attention is a powerful reward for your child. Withdraw attention when he is doing something you don't like. Ignoring him for a while or walking away from him are good options if your toddler keeps doing something you don't like after you have asked him to stop.

Explain the consequences of his behaviour so he can figure out why something is wrong. This helps give him a better understanding of the world around him.

Manage transitions carefully. At this age, children can find it hard to change from one activity to another. Some extra time, sensitivity, and planning can help.

Introducing discipline. The word 'discipline' actually means 'to teach' and not necessarily 'to punish'. If you use the tips provided, you will probably never need to punish your child in the old-fashioned sense. Smacking is not an effective or acceptable punishment for a child, regardless of age because it doesn't change a child's behaviour for good. It might stop his behaviour momentarily while he tries to figure you out. Hitting a child doesn't give him the opportunity to learn about related consequences or solve his own problems. Instead, it can make him fearful, insecure and resentful. If a child persists in misbehaving and refues to listen, then parents might have to resot to appropriate action to discipline him.

When to say 'no'. Often, children behave 'badly' because they know it will get attention, and for toddlers negative attention is better than no attention at all. So paying too much attention to bad behaviour actually encourages it. If your toddler is aware of the 'right' behaviour, he will only respect you if you follow through with the matter-of-fact consequences that you have pre-agreed on. If he is not aware, then a firm 'no' or 'stop that now' is something your toddler should understand, but save those for situations when their obedience really counts.

Just remember that toddlers' behaviour is unpredictable. Though they stopped in their tracks the last time you said 'no', doesn't mean they will stop every time. So you still have to make sure you have a firm but comfortable grip of your toddler's hand when crossing the road, or in other potentially dangerous situations. (eg. near a pond in the park, at the swimming pool, etc.)

What Is With This Lego Thing??

Last weekend, we went to Mid Valley for the PC Fair for tv hunting. We thought the fair will be just the same like at KLCC's one, but we were wrong. There were only few brands of televisyen there, Panasonic, Toshiba and Samsung. And only few got a great promo. But, at the end of the day we didn't buy anything. I don't like to shop at Mid Valley anymore coz there were so many people and you can hardly feel the air-cond. And then Arsyad will be cranky and started to cry.

So, the best option is, just go to the The Gardens and you can feel the difference right away. I can push the stroller without have to say excuse me and Arsyad can freely running if he wants to. We just went to the kids' area at the Robinsons. Arsyad was having fun playing lego there. He was the only one playing, so he didn't bother if I wasn't there with him. Hey~ papa was having fun too. They both playing together quite a while till I said "Ok guys~ it's time to go home. You can play with the megablocks at home after this". Haha.

I love watching them playing together. Arsyad was building a tower, and papa was doing his jet fighter. Once papa finished, Arsyad will play with the jet, running and pretending he was flying the jet, then he will destroy it. And papa has to do it all over again. Haha. I can't find the lego's table at the rack. It surely cost hundreds but it is good for kids playing this block and lego thingy right? It helps to develop kids' creativity and good for their motor skills too. Later on we just go to The Gardens if we don't have any places to go. Hehe.

Saat Kewafatan Nabi Muhammad S.A.W

Ketika ajal Rasulullah SAW hampir tiba, sebelum nabi menghembuskan nafas yang terakhir, nabi meminta izin daripada isterinya untuk berada di rumah Syaidatina Aisyah ra. Dibawa ke rumah Aisyah, Aisyah pangku Rasulullah SAW, isteri mana yang dapat menahan kesakitan, penderitaan suaminya, isteri mana yang dapat menahan kesedihan. Melihat suami menderita kesakitan, aisyah membaca doa menyapu keseluruh tubuh Rasulullah SAW, sambil memegang tangan suci baginda dan turut disapu agar mendapat seribu satu keberkatan.

Nabi memerintahkan dipanggil Siti Fatimah, puteri kesayanganku, Fatimah datang dan duduk disisi Rasulullah SAW. Nabi mencium Fatimah, Fatimah membalas ciuman tersebut, nabi cium Fatimah sekali lagi, Fatimah memandang tepat ke mata ayahdanya, seolah2 itu ciuman yang terakhir daripada seorang ayah kepada anak yang paling dicintai dengan sepenuh hatinya. Fatimah melihat kesakitan nabi dan berkata, “Duhai ayahda kesayangku, saya tak sampai hati melihat ayahda di dalam kesakitan seperti ini.”

Nabi masih mampu mengukirkan senyuman, “Sabarlah wahai puteri kesayanganku, selepas ini ayah tidak akan sakit lagi kerna ayah akan pergi meninggalkan kamu untuk selama-lamanya.” Suasana sedih, sayu dan pilu ketika itu, nabi minta Fatimah bawa Hasan dan Husin datang ke sisi nabi, nabi peluk Hasan, nabi peluk Husin, nabi cium mereka itu juga ciuman yang terakhir. Nabi pesan , “Wahai cucu-cucu kesayanganku, sentiasalah sepanjang hidupmu manabur kebaktian demi kebaktian.” Tiba-tiba Rasulullah berkata kepada Syaidatina Aisyah, “Ya Aisyah, Ya Aisy, sakit rasanya sakratul maut.”

Ketika malaikat maut mencabut nyawa nabi paling halus, paling lembut paling perlahan, nabi sakit kerna nabi minta pada Allah, Ya Allah, izinkanlah aku merasai bagaimana sakitnya sakratul maut umat ku nanti sebelum mereka manghembuskan nafas yang terakhir.

Hebat sekali kasih nabi kepada kita. Ketika itu aisyah nampak nabi menadah tangan sambil matanya memandang ke atas, tiga kali nabi berdoa, “Ya Allah Ya Tuhanku, ampunilah dosa hambamu, tempatkanlah aku disisi kekasihmu yang paling tertinggi.” Tiga kali nabi ulang doa, tiba-tiba bibir nabi bergerak dua kali. Anas bin Malik nampak sebelum nabi menghembuskan nafas yang terakhir. Nabi sebut nama kita, “Ummati, Ummati, Umatku, Umatku!!” Nabi menghembuskan nafas yang terakhir di atas ribaan kekasihnya Syaidatina Aisyah ra 12 Rabiulawal tahun 11H ketika baginda berusia 63 tahun.

Fatimah menangis, duhai ayah kesayangku, engkau telah pergi menyahut seruan illahi, duhai ayah kesayanganku, sesungguhnya Jannatul Firdaus sedang menanti mu. Nabi telah pergi meninggalkan kita, kita rasa sedih kerana dalam hati kita ada rasa cinta, ada rasa sayu, kata nabi “Man hahabbani, kana mail fil jannah”,

Barangsiapa yg cinta kpd aku, barangsiapa yang kasih kpd aku, sesungguhnya mereka ini lah yang akan berada dengan ku di dalam syurga yang kekal abadi.

Andai benar kasih dan cinta kepada nabi, nabi tinggal dua pusaka, Al-Quran dan as-Sunnah, jangan dijauhkan, dibaca selalu, dijadikan amalan, insyaAllah suatu saat suatu ketika, dengan izin Allah jua, kita akan berada bersama nabi. Banyakkan selawat, banyakkan ibadah, baru bahagia dunia dan akhirat!!!

I would love to have a jacuzzi spa, full body scrub and body massage. Who doesn't right? I never had one before, body massage with makcik urut doesn't count kay. Hehe. TV Cabinet @ ATDT Design

Last week, hubby received a call from Kian Classic about our deposit last time. Yeah~ we still can use it and immediately I'm thinking of doing the tv or shoe cabinet. But, after asking the salesman how much for the 8 feet tv cabinet, just a simple board and drawers at the bottom, it costs us around RM3888. I was like huhh?? Really?? Then he said last time they have a promotion for the tv cabinet, only RM1300 for the 8 feet one. But now, I can get 32inch LCD tv for the price of RM3888. Even the tv is not that expensive nowadays. So, hubby just said to the salesman, wait till you have another promo then you call us again. Haha.

But we did a bit survey coz we really wanna do the tv cabinet at our living hall. It's a bit dull and spacious now. And, I'm quite bored sometimes when I want to do my house chores downstairs. Arsyad will happy too coz he can watch his show everytime I cook. We went to CLS Kitchen and it costs us around RM3500 for 10 feet one. Then, hubby called the ATDT Design, the showroom just in front of our house area, that's why we know this company. The owner is malay and he said for the 8 feet one, it will cost us around RM1300. Wow!! I'll definitely do with this one. Haha.

So, we went to the showroom and show which design that we want. Now, we have to wait for him to come and measure the cabinet. And, hopefully the price will not that expensive coz we want a bit design on it. Btw, I did ask about the kitchen cabinet material too. The price is way cheaper than most of the kitchen cabinet suppliers that I know. For the local solid surface top, their price is around RM60 to RM70 per square feet. That is actually quite cheap coz usually other places charge around RM150 to RM180 per square feet. Can you see how much is the difference?? And they also can do mirrors with any frame that you want. Huhu~ I'll make one too, if the price is cheap. Hehe. Can't wait to get the quotation and I'll definitely share with you guys.

MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur March 2011

Hubby and I were thinking to have a short vacation this year, InsyaAllah. But we still don't know where to go. For me, it doesn't matter whether it will be in Malaysia or overseas. As long as we can spent our time together, only three of us.

The MATTA Fair will be this weekend, 11 till 13 March 2011 at PWTC. So anyone who is planning to go for a vacation you should go to this fair, where you can find the cheaper flights together with the accommodations. Plan well coz there will be loads and loads of people.

Skin Issue!!

I've had a really bad skin once in a month. You know when ladies. I don't know why coz a long time ago it doesn't affect my skin at all. But after I stop taking Noriday pills, about a year ago I think, all these pimples keep on coming out once in a month. And mind you, the one that come out is a big big one, not a small tiny one.

It makes me stress looking at my face. But syukur Alhamdulillah the pimples will come and go. I just have to be patience waiting for the pimples to go away. I didn't use any new products on my face, I just use the same one for almost 7 years now I think. And I really take a good care of my skin nowadays. I will use a scrub and mask, once a week. And I drink a lot of plain water. But still it doesn't help at all!!

I'm thinking of to try this Monavie or Berry Gen's drink. I read a lot of good reviews about them. It is good for skin and give us energy too. Is it right?? I have to do something to my skin. I can't keep on cover it up with makeup coz I hate to put on heavy makeup. Aaaaarrrggghhhh!! HELP!!!

Nabi Muhammad SAW Baring Di Atas Riba Isterinya..

Kadang-kadang orang kita silap persepsi dengan menyangka bahawa budaya romantik itu datang dari Barat. Mereka menyangka Islam menganjurkan sikap tegas dalam hubungan lelaki-perempuan, hatta di kalangan suami isteri. Sangkaan begini terbukti silap.

Sebenarnya orang kita masih lagi terbelenggu dengan amalan kebanyakan masyarakat rumpun Melayu yang kadang-kadang malu tak bertempat dan tegas tak kena gaya. Hasilnya mereka tumpul budaya romantis dan kering dalam bercinta. Yang lebih ganjil lagi, ketika di luar ikatan perkahwinan, mereka bukan main romantik, tetapi bila sudah bernikah, mereka bersikap dingin dan hanya tahu romantik ketika di atas katil.

Sikap ini berbeza dengan sifat romantis Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam yang sentiasa bergaul dengan isteri dengan penuh mesra dan ceria. Kedudukan Baginda yang begitu tinggi di sisi Allah dan masyarakat tidak menghalang Baginda untuk bersama dengan isteri dengan penuh rasa cinta dan kasih.

Hal ini dapat dilihat daripada hadis riwayat Aisyah yang berkata;

لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ رَأْسَهُ فِي حِجْرِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ

Maksudnya;
"Sesungguhnya Rasulullah SAW sering meletakkan kepalanya di ribaku, sedangkan ketika itu aku sedang berhaid, dan Baginda pula membaca Al-Quran" (Sunan Ibni Majah : 626)

Tidak dinafikan, perasaan cinta antara suami isteri itu kadangkala menebal, dan kadangkala menipis, lebih-lebih lagi dikala isteri dalam keadaan tidak suci ekoran haid dan nifas. Oleh itu, bagi hendak menghangatkan perasaan cinta antara suami isteri, perlu mempunyai daya kreatif masing-masing dalam melahirkan perasaan cinta bergelora.

Dengan hadis ini, Nabi SAW seakan-akan mengajar kepada kita tentang antara tindakan yang perlu dilakukan bagi menghangatkan balik perasaan cinta itu.

Justeru itu, sebagai suami, tidak seharusnya merasa malu untuk meletakkan kepala mereka di riba isterinya. Begitu juga, pihak isteri pula tidak selayaknya merasa janggal dengan tindakan suaminya itu sehingga menganggap tindakan sebegitu seperti tindakan anak dengan ibunya yang mahu bermanja.

Sesungguhnya bermanja antara suami isteri merupakan ibadat disisi Allah, yang melahirkan banyak kelebihan dari sudut keuntungan dunia, mahupun keuntungan di akhirat.

Keuntungan di akhirat adalah dengan balasan pahala, dan keuntungan di dunia adalah dengan kemesraan dan kebahagiaan yang wujud dalam kehidupan berumah tangga.

Dari hadis ini juga, kita akan dapat melihat betapa Islam adalah agama yang cukup memuliakan kaum perempuan berbanding apa yang telah dilakukan oleh orang-orang jahiliyyah terdahulu.

Orang-orang jahiliyyah terdahulu, memandang perempuan yang berhaid sebagai jijik sehingga mereka meletakkan undang-undang adat mereka yang meletakkan perempuan seperti barang buangan dan barang terpakai.

Apabila datang Nabi SAW, baginda menyeru manusia kepada Islam yang memandang mulia kepada kaum perempuan, walaupun mereka secara fitrah mempunyai masalah bulanan, iaitu Haid dan Nifas.

Kemuliaan ini dibuktikan dengan tindakan Nabi SAW yang bermesra dengan isterinya yang sedang berhaid, dengan meletakkan kepala baginda di riba isterinya yang sudah pasti haid itu berada dikemaluan yang berhampiran dengan riba tersebut. Ini ditambahi lagi dengan tindakan nabi SAW membaca Al-Quran di kala kepala baginda SAW berada di riba Isterinya.

Ekoran dari itulah, Imam An-Nawawi (Aun Al-Ma'bud : 1/305.) menyatakan bahawa hadis ini menjadi dalil kukuh bahawa tidak dilarang membaca Al-Quran dalam keadaan berbaring dan bersandar pada orang perempuan yang sedang berhaid, malahan ianya juga menjadi dalil bahawa tidak menjadi kesalahan membaca Al-Quran berhampiran dengan najis.

Their awning hijabs are the best of all, the face size is fit just nice to my face compared to Ariani and not to mention others. Their workmanship is very nice and detail.

NEDA Scarves & Hijab

I love the hijab style shown by NEDA. The owner is my wedding photographer, Ayda. The hood and hijab are attached together, makes it easier and faster for you to wear it. And she uses the chiffon material for the scarves so that you can easily make a nice drape with it. You can accessorize it with anything, the one shown in the picture is earring. You can't show your earing if you wear hijab, but you can pin it at your hijab instead. How cool is that? I didn't try any of the hijab yet, but will get one soon. :-)

American Idol 2011 Top 24

American Idol has finally come to TOP 24. So fast huh~ All of them will show their talent this Wednesday to whole wide world. For me, some of them are not suppose to get through to Top 24 coz the one that the judges rejected were all better. But, my favorite so far is this guy, Casey. I hope he will be in the competition till the end, and be the winner of American Idol 2011. But, who knows right?? Everything can happened in the middle of their journey, they might be stressed out and forgot their lyric. I really hope he can perform just like he performs in the Hollywood week and also at the Las Vegas.

Bread Pudding Easy Peasy Recipe

I did the simple bread pudding again coz my bread is going to expire soon. This time around I'll post the easy peasy recipe for you to try at home. It is simple and it is indeed a great dessert of all.

Ingredients:

8 pieces of bread
500ml fresh milk
2 eggs
6 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 tablespoon corn flour

Method:

Make your bread into small sizes. Just racik-racikkan (racik eh ke ape org sebut eh?? haha.. belasah la) and add on the fresh milk. And let it be for about 30 minutes.

At the meantime, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla essence using the whisk. Pukul smpai kembang. Then, put it in the bread together with fresh milk just now.

Dissolve the corn flour in a bit of water. Then add on in the bread. You can put the raisins too if you like.

Put it in the oven at 180degrees for about 30 - 40 minutes, depends on your oven. Mine is 30minutes. Owh~ don't forget to preheat your oven first.
Wait till you heard "ting". Then your bread pudding is ready to be served.

For the custard sauce, all you need is 1 tin susu ideal, 2 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoon tepung custard (dissolve in water first). Heat it all together and kacau tanpa henti smpai agak pekat. Done.

Like Orange Like Papa

We went to One Utama last thursday, just to hang out and window shopping. Suddenly papa decided to buy a new sandal to Arsyad. I was not the only one who was excited, but Arsyad also felt the same. I never thought that he will get so excited as we didn't buy him a new toy.

Btw, he didn't want any sandal at all. He just want a new shoe. We tried to make him try on a new sandal, but he refused. He kept on asking me to put on the shoe that he chose. And guess what?? He chose the same color as papa's sandal, which is ORANGE!! Haha. It was so cute looking at them walking together coz the ORANGE color is so obvious. And I love it!!

Arsyad is more choosy nowadays. He just want us to listen to him. If he didn't get something that he wants, he will cry out loud or I should say pretend crying, make a sad face with one hand rubbing the eye and her lips will twitch out a bit. Haha. And when I say NO even he did that, he'll try to do another trick. Come to me with a cute and cheeky face, kiss me on my cheeks, lips and forehead, then pretend talking about something else, and finally he'll ask what he wants. Haha. So funny sometimes but most of the time, I just ignore him if he wants something that is not good. :-)

I still can't stop breastfeeding him. Always fail to do so. I have to try it sooner or later. Owh gosh!! Any tips mommies??

Bahulu Ros for Tea..

I've made bahulu ros bakar for tea today. This was my first attempt baking this and also first time using my new mixer. It was so damn easy, just put everything in the mixer then it is done. Then all you have to do is just wait till you heard the sound "ting" from your oven. Hehe.

Should have made the original color more than the red one. The taste is so yummy~ and hubby loves it. Here is the easy peasy recipe from my sister.

Ingredients:

4 eggs
1 1/2 cup of sugar ( I just used 1 1/4 cup)
1 teaspoon rose essence
1 3/4 cup of flour ( I used self-raising flour)
A bit of red color

Methods:

Beat the egg together with sugar sampai kembang
Add on the rose essence
Add on the flour, and mix it well
Then, divide it into 2 and one of it put the red color.
Apply a bit of oil on your cake mould
Then, do like marble. Satu senduk adunan asal, then satu senduk adunan merah. Buat sampai habis.
Cook in the oven for about 30 minutes, 180 degrees

Roti or Kayu Keramat..

I'm so damn lazy to cook today. We just ate fried rice for lunch and I tried my 1st ever roti keramat or orang Terengganu called it "kayu khamat" for tea.. hehe.. Well, I prepared the dough earlier as we need to leave it for about 1 to 2 hours before we fry it..

It is so easy to do. I forgot where did I get the recipe. I copied it long time ago. Btw, this is the easy peasy recipe:

Ingredients:

500g flour
1 teaspoon soda bicarbonate
1 teaspoon instant yeast mauripan
6 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon planta
300ml warm water
a pinch of salt if you like

How to:

Mix the yeast with a small amount of warm water and leave it for a while.
Then whisk sugar with the balance of warm water.
Mix the flour and planta well, then add on the soda bicarbonate. Mix well okay.
Then add on the yeast and sugar that you mix with warm water earlier in the flour bit by bit.
Mix well then leave the dough for about 1 -2 hours. You can see the dough become bigger after 2 hours.
Then, punch the dough. Tumbuk kuat2, haha. And cut it for about 5 to 7cm.
Heat your pan. Pull the dough and twist it, then fry it till it turns golden color.
Now you're done. Eat it with hot tea. Yummy~

This year is our 3rd wedding anniversary. I can't believe how time flies. Alhamdulillah, we are still together and I love my husband more and more every single day. We didn't manage to celebrate our anniversary on the day itself coz we just got back from our hometown last Thursday, and that explains why I didn't update my blog. But, InsyaAllah I'll do something special for him during his off day.

5 years ago we met with each other for the first time. And no one knows how on earth we got to know each other, we're not in the same school, and not in the same Uni. Yes, we're from the same hometown, and in fact we're just neighbour. But, we never met even once. I'm glad you found me and hold on to me, never let me go, even in our worse condition. Alhamdulillah we're still together and blessed with arrival of lil Arsyad after one year of marriage.

To my dear hubby, this one is specially for you:

Trying New Hijab Style

I'm quite bored with my style of wearing shawl lately. And I rarely wearing shawl nowadays coz I want to make it quick, so I just grab my instant hijab instead. So I browse through the YouTube to find the easiest way of wearing shawl. And I found the Hana Tajima's video. I know everyone knows her and adore her style and beauty.

Anyway, I tried her style and it is so damn easy. Just need to use 2 or 3 pins and you're done. This is me after trying her pashmina style and short pashmina's tutorial. A bit blurry, I just captured using my PhotoBooth.

Bread and Butter Biscuit

I don't know what to cook for my baby anymore coz he is really one picky eater. He loves something crunchy. So instead of putting the bread in a toaster, why not just put it in the oven and turns it into crunchy biscuit? I forgot where I get the simple recipe, but it is so damn easy to do. Just like you do your roti bakar.

All you have to do are cut the edges of the bread, put a bit butter (soft) or margerine on both sides and sprinkle a bit of sugar (or more if you like). Then put it in the oven with 180degC for about 10 - 15 minutes. It is so crunchy and kids love it. :-)

Stupid Maid

No, it is not my maid's story, I don't even have a maid. But, it is my neighbour's. Everytime I went to the playground, I always saw these 3 little kids playing together without an adult supervision. I know it is safe in our house area, but still if any incident happen, who knows right?

First time I saw them playing, their maid was there together with them. But, what she did was just sitting and didn't monitor the kids at all. Until the boy fell on a rock and got hurt on his knee. You know what she did? She scolded him out loud to that kid and slapped a bit on his butt and leg. I was so damn shocked coz she even didn't bother I was there looking at her fiercely. And the other two girls were playing small rocks and got themselves dirty, and she also slapped them as well. She asked them to go home and scolding them all the way. She even pull the youngest's arm so harsh.

The second time I saw them was few days back. As usual, there were only the kids playing together. Suddenly, the maid came from far shouting at them, asking them who let them go out from the house. I was like, WHAT?? You don't even notice that the kids went out on their own. Can you see how ignorance the maid was?? She scolded all of them, the other two (older sista and bro) ran immediately once they heard the maid's voice. But the little one was so damn scared and crying out loud calling his brother and sister. Once the maid besides her, she pull the kid's ear and drag her back to their house. I felt like wanna scold that damn maid, but I don't know why I didn't do that.

I don't know which house they were living. But, I was a bit concerned coz if she can do it in front of other people like that, she might can even do worse at home. And I can see that the kids were so damn scared, that was why there were running away. I don't know whether I should tell their parents or not coz it was weekend. I wonder why their parents not at home. What should I do??

Beef Lasagna In The House!!

This was my first attempt to do this beef lasagna and it turns out well besides the not so pretty topping. Hey~ but don't judge a book by its cover right? It tastes great, at least to my taste. Hehe. The most important thing is, it was not so cheesy and I can eat it over and over again. Yummy~

It was quite easy, but need to be patience a bit coz you have to layer it one by one. First you have to put the lasagna sheet, then the beef bolognese, followed by the cheese cheddar, then the white sauce. And repeat it again till you put the beef bolognese and mozarella cheese on top. Then put it in the oven for about 30 minutes and done!!

For the beef bolognese, I just use the same recipe as I did for the spaghetti. And for the white sauce, just use the fresh milk, flour, a bit of black pepper and pinch of salt. Need to whisk it until it is boil and soupy, then it is ready to be served on the lasagna.

For the lasagna sheet, just buy the instant one. I used the San Remo's lasagna sheet. Put it in the boiling water and wait till it is soft. Then just follow the steps on how to layer it one by one. Quite easy right?? Go and give it a try!! :-)

SCI Kitchen After Sale Review

I did a review about this SCI Kitchen a long time ago. And I received loads and loads of e-mail asking about their services, workmanship, prices and so many more. I'm so glad that what I wrote in here really useful for some of you. So now I want to share with all of you my experience with the SCI Kitchen after almost a year using their kitchen cabinet and wardrobe.

A few months back, my hubby accidentally drop off the mug with water in it on the kitchen top. Then I don't know how the water got inside the glass of the cabinet. When I carefully looked at it, there was actually an open hole at the corner of the glass. That was why the water can get inside the glass. And for my wardrobe, the soft close was broken. Maybe bcoz Arsyad always play with the sliding doors. So we called the SCI Kitchen and asked them to come over to look it and of course we want them to replace it as it is still under warranty.

And guess what?? It took them almost 1 month plus to come over and fix the problem. I didn't care about it so much coz i still can cook and use the cabinet. But I'm glad they still came over. And they just checked all the cabinets and did some touch up to all the doors and drawers. They fix the soft close and replace the new glass drawer at my cabinet.

Overall, they did a great job and I really satisfied with their services beside the calling part. It was irritating to call them over and over again. If you ask me whether you should do the cabinet with them or not, I can't decide it for you. It depends on your budget. But, in terms of their workmanship and services, all I can say is, it is okay and I'm satisfied with it. I cook everyday in my kitchen, and my kitchen cabinet is still look fabulous. As long as you take a really good care of it, the cabinets will last forever, doesn't matter which material you use. So, think and decide wisely.

It was so damn funny when hubby told me this. Then I quickly search the news at Utusan then found this.

Jaguh Kampung: Datuk, nenek tunjuk bakat memasak

KUALA LUMPUR 18 Jan. - Golongan datuk atau nenek berusia 70 tahun, pakar memasak, ceria dan petah bercakap berpeluang untuk bergelar Jaguh Kampung menerusi sebuah program pertandingan masakan terbitan Astro Prima.

Selain golongan warga emas, penyertaan Jaguh Kampung juga terbuka kepada peserta berusia 16 tahun ke atas dan secara berkumpulan.

Pengurus Saluran Astro Prima, Nizam Sani berkata, program yang berkonsepkan realiti televisyen (TV) itu akan memulakan misi pencarian peserta pada minggu depan. Menurutnya, lapan negeri yang terlibat adalah Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Terengganu dan Pahang.

Basically Astro wants to do a show like Masterchef. I wonder who will be the judges and how interesting this show will be. Hopefully it will be just like Masterchef, USA or at least almost the same. If not, I don't think people will watch it. But hey~ who knows right? So let's just wait and see.. :D

Our Lovely Evening Together..

I brought Arsyad to the playground yesterday evening. Along the way, he was talking non-stop. I didn't know what he was trying to say, but I think he want to tell me everything he saw. He told me about the cat, the bird, and aeroplane that he saw. I just understand those words, others I've no idea at all. Haha. But, it was so much fun walking together, holding hands, and he kept on telling me stories. :D

He was having fun playing the slides and climbing up and down the stairs until he wanted to play the swing. One thing that I don't like about this playground is the swing coz there was no swing for the babies, you know what I meant, the one that your baby can sit on it without you holding him. But he still want to play with it, so I've to hold him at the back coz he refused to sit on me. Luckily he didn't fell eventho there's one time that he almost did.

Then, when there were more crowds at the playground, Arsyad started to play at the badminton court, which has nothing to play with. But he enjoyed himself running and playing with his little car that he brought with him all the time. And when there was an aeroplane flew by, he will wave goodbye and then started to run again. When he was tired, he will stop and have a few minutes rest before started to play again.

He didn't like playing with strangers. He would rather playing alone instead of mixing around with other kids. But he loves watching other kids playing together. He'll laugh if he saw something funny and then he'll be great to join them. :-)

Our evening didn't end here. When we arrived home, Arsyad wanted to play in his pool. So, I gave him few minutes to play in it while I did some cleaning at the porch.

One thing I realized when Arsyad was playing in his pool or swimming pool, he'll just stand there, playing the ball or any other toys inside the pool. He didn't want to lie down in the pool or at least get his all body wet. I've to splash the water to him, then he'll started to jump. Hurm~ I wonder why..

Btw, I really enjoy playing with him like this. No need to hear him screaming and crying. Hopefullly, it will be like this everyday. :-)

Grey's Anatomy Season 6 Finale - Tears of An Angel

Owh Gosh!! I keep on crying watching the finale. Watching Derek and Meredith, how deep is their love to each other. Dr Bailey, who is known as a strong doctor, finally can't even hold herself together to fight and save her colleague. And all of them, they're so good!

And, this person has made a nice video for the season 6 finale. It was so heartbreaking watching all of them dying. Watch this and you can find other superb videos at YouTube as well.
